Have you ever been to a wedding, and the dance floor is spilling into the guest tables?
Uncomfortable, isn’t it?
I know. I have been to parties where I might as well be dancing in my chair! Here is a little plan to help you determine your minimum dance floor size.
First things first: Did you know that approximately 30% of your wedding guests could be on the dance floor at the same time? That percentage would only go up if the band or the deejay is phenomenal. So you want to ensure that everyone is comfortable on your dance floor with ample space to “cut a rug!”

If you find that you cannot allow the space noted above for your dance floor, consider moving the sweetheart table and/or head table when it is time to dance. I guarantee you that you won’t be sitting down very often.
Dance on and have a great time!

Thanks so much for your comment Tywana!
You know, it can be even worse if the dance floor is too big. No one will go on it because everyone will feel as if they are in the spotlight!
